City police have a man in custody following a foot chase in Belleville.
The suspect is being held under charges including driving while impaired, possession of stolen property and personation.
The 26-year-old Belleville driver was stopped this morning around 3:30 when officers became suspicious of his driving.
When questioned about his identity, the suspect at first cooperated and then suddenly ran away.
Police caught up with the man and arrested him.
They later found the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen from Napanee.
The man will face numerous charges in a bail hearing tomorrow (MON).
