About 90 players decended on the Dukedome in Wellington Saturday
to take part in this year’s Wellington Dukes training and
tryout camp.
The players were split into six teams and will play four games over the
weekend.
Included in the tryout roster are some returning Dukes from last year,
local triple-A prospects… and a handful of players who were with
other junior teams last year.
The Dukes coaching staff will make final cuts today (Sunday) as they
prepare to open the pre-season against Trenton on Friday.
