It was a false alarm for officers responding to a call of a stabbing in east end Belleville.
Police received calls around 10:50 last night (SAT) reporting a man having been stabbed at a housing complex.
Investigating officers say the man had not been stabbed, but had been injured when others tried to disarm him.
The injured man had reportedly shown up with a knife intending to fight someone, and had the knife used against him.
The injured suspect was charged with weapons dangerous and released with a date to appear in court.
