Brighton residents can expect to hear a lot about fire prevention under the municipality’s first full-time fire chief.
Dale Wales, a teacher at the Fire and Emergency Response Centre at a community college in Sarnia, takes the reins of the fire department on August fourth.
He says it’s important to be diligent about fire safety and will emphasize firefighter training.
Wales is replacing longtime Brighton fire chief Harry Tackaberry, who will remain with the fire service as the deputy chief.
