Two bicyclists have had a frightening encounter with a couple in a van west of Smithfield.
Northumberland O-P-P say a woman driving a silver Blazer got into a confrontation with the cyclists on County Road two yesterday.
One of the bicycles was hit by the vehicle, resulting in minimal injuries to the rider, and a man in the Blazer threatened the cyclists with a knife.
The driver is described as a female in her early 20’s, and the male passenger is about 25. Both have brown hair, and were wearing baseball caps. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police or Crimestoppers.
