The project manager at Meyer’s Pier in Belleville is shedding a bit of light on the latest delays at the site.
Judy Beauchamp of Stan-Tec…replying in writing to questions submitted by our newsroom…says the city isn’t in agreement with some claims issued by the contractor for specific contract items. Beauchamp says they are seeking to resolve the issues which include items such as additional width to a slurry wall…and disposal of soils from the site. She says they are working with the contractor to resolve the claims…and the city is working within the existing contract with Clearway Construction. Beauchamp expects the majority of the work at the site will be done by the end of August.
