The Premier of Ontario brought more then a smile into the Municipality of Brighton today. Dalton McGuinty, along with MPP Lou Rinaldi, presented a cheque worth 5.4 million dollars to build a new Brighton Public School.
Construction will start early in 2010, and students should start in class in the fall of 2011.
As yet, no decision has been made on what will be done with the current Brighton Public, which was built back in 1915. Some in the community want it kept as a library or community center.
