A local O-S-P-C-A Investigator is surprised at the number of people who put their dogs in the back of pickup trucks.
Tex Ridder says he’s noticed a lot of it this year, but it is against provincial legislation, which requires pets be transported inside the vehicle.
He says the dog can be thrown from the truck if there’s a sudden stop, and can also suffer eye injuries from insects and flying dirt.
