However, Tim Hortons is making things simple for people. Suzanne Quinlan, of Mothers of Soldiers in the Royal Canadian Regiment, says gift certificates are available at Tim Hortons shops, and the address is on them, for delivery overseas.
There is a Tim Hortons in Afghanistan, and the gift certificates allow for a personal note to be sent with them.
