Lots of paperwork for the Warkworth Institution Task Force to go through as it decides who will determine the impact of the facility on the surrounding area.
Eight companies responded to the request for proposals by this week’s deadline.
The task force, set up after a consultant’s report suggested Warkworth be closed and replaced by a large, regional facility, will go through each submission before choosing the successful bid.
The socio-economic study could also consider potential financial benefits to the Correctional Service of Canada if the prison were expanded.
