STANDARD FIRST AID AND CPR ‘C’

Standard First Aid incorporates all of Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid including: legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns, and medical emergencies. There is a required textbook which is included in the price.

Ameliasburgh Fair

The Ameliasburgh Fair is Sept 30 & Oct 1 at the Ameliasburgh Fair Grounds, behind the Ameliasburgh Town Hall, 13 Coleman Street, Ameliasburgh. On Sat the Fair opens with the parade from Kente School at 10:30. Official opening at 12; The Reasons play from 1 - 5. Kirstie's Petting Zoo & RJ the Balloon Dude will also be there.A street dance is at 7, and fireworks at 9. On Sunday we feature Becky Elliott on stage at 12, as well as the horse, cattle and pet shows, & the County School of Dance. Both days feature exhibits, food vendors, kids activities & more.

First Tuesday Muse

First Tuesday Muse is a poetry and spoken word Open Mic. Hear poets and storytellers from the Greater Quinte Region on the first Tuesday of the month. The open mic is held in The Tweedsmuir Tavern in Tweed, Ontario from 7pm to 9pm. Everyone is welcome.

Knitterati Social Knitting Circle

Come be part of the Knitterati! Belleville Public Library's social knitting circle "Knitterati" will return in September, 2017. Bring your knitting, crochet, or other fiber craft project to this free drop in program on the second floor of the library to work as a group, chat, and meet other knitters! Just starting out and need a little help casting on? Don’t worry; your fellow knitters will be there to give you a hand or offer advice. Shadowicc History of Halloween Ghost Walks 2017 !

BY POPULAR DEMAND ....Shadowicc presents The HISTORY OF HALLOWEEN Ghost Walk in Belleville, Ontario. Join your Spirit Guide Johnathon Shannon and hear stories about the Jack'O'Lantern, Trick or Treating, Hallowe'en and the most haunted places in Belleville. Meeting Place is in front of City Hall Downtown Belleville . Tour starts at 7:00 PM sharp and runs rain or shine. Due to group numbers, tours can run from 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours in length. Roblin Lake Jamboree

Please join us for a fun musical family event each month at Ameliasburgh Town Hall from 1-4 pm. Guest musicians feature Country and Rock and there is an "Open Mike" so you can bring your talents - instrumental or voice to the County. All welcome and the event is free. This popular series of events is for all ages from tikes to seniors. Bring your instruments and voices to make this event come alive!

RED CROSS BABYSITTING COURSE

This course is designed for youth 11-15 years old to learn first aid and caregiving skills for children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Students will receive a manual, and upon successful completion a wallet card and certificate. Students are asked to bring a pen, lunch, beverages and a doll or teddy bear for diapering.

Come be part of the Knitterati! Belleville Public Library's social knitting circle "Knitterati" will return in September, 2017. Bring your knitting, crochet, or other fiber craft project to this free drop in program on the second floor of the library to work as a group, chat, and meet other knitters! Just starting out and need a little help casting on? Don’t worry; your fellow knitters will be there to give you a hand or offer advice.
