Fitness for Breath is a respiratory maintenance program designed to help individuals who have a chronic lung disease such as COPD, pulmonary fibrosis or chronic asthma, achieve and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. This program does not replace pulmonary rehab.

Make a Paper Bag Puppet!

Make a paper bag puppet at the Quinte West Public Library! From 10 to 11 am, children age 3 to 10 are invited to both the Trenton Branch and the Frankford Branch to cut, colour, and create.

Celebrate mystery month with award winning mystery author, Howard Shrier. Shrier has received critical acclaim for his books featuring Toronto investigator Jonah Geller. His first book Buffalo Jump won the Crime Writers of Canada’s Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Novel while the sequel, High Chicago, won the Arthur Ellis Award for Best Novel of 2009. Fort McMurray Benefit Concert

PRESS RELEASE: Trenton, ON Fort McMurray Country Gospel Benefit Concert to be held Friday, May 20th at 7:30pm at Knights of Columbus Hall, 57 Stella Crescent, Trenton. All proceeds go to the Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal. Various performers in country and gospel music from across the Quinte Region will perform. "The Chain", a Trenton High School Musical.

Trenton High School is putting on an original musical production created by their Music Theatre students! This year's production is titled "The Chain" and features the music of legendary band Fleetwood Mac. "The Chain" portrays the effect that personal struggles alongside a life altering illness take through four generations of women. The play depicts the impact that the time period has on the situation, taking place throughout the 1900's.

The production will be showcased at Trenton High School on May 27th, 28th, June 3rd, and 4th at 7pm. Tickets are $10.00 and are sold in the main office of the school during regular school hours. Watch people cooking over a fire in cast iron pots, spinning wool, making dolls, blacksmithing, and woodworking. Learn about history, skills and daily life at the talks. A Walk Through Time

Re-enactment camp at the UEL Heritage Centre and Park, on Hwy 33 in Adolphustown. Come see how your ancestors lived in pioneer times! The camps will be open to the public 10-5 Sat and Sun, and 7-9 Saturday evening to see the camps in beautiful candle light and chat by a fire. Demonstrations of daily life include sewing, cast iron cooking on a fire, spinning wool, doll making, leather work, a fashion show, woodworking, and a foundry. A variety of merchants will have goods for sale that could have been sold during these time periods. Please bring cash for your purchases. There will be a small admission fee at the gate to the UELHCP grounds.

Silent Auction in care of Loyalist Humane Society

From May 27-29, 2016, Quinte’s Isle Campark will echo to the melody of all-Canadian Bluegrass music as bands from near and far come together in their eight annual celebration. The event will feature popular groups such as Dusty Drifters, Shine, Switchback Rd, Concession 23, Sweetgrass, and County Rd 44 among others.

This year again, the Quinte’s Isle Bluegrass Celebration has chosen to donate the proceeds from their popular May 28 silent auction to the Loyalist Humane Society. The Loyalist Humane Society (LHS) is a non-profit charitable organization located in Prince Edward County, on County Road 4 west of Picton. The LHS provides care for animals without homes.

We hope all music-lovers will come out to enjoy the Celebration, welcome the musicians and their out-of-town fans, and support the silent auction.

Silent Auction in care of Loyalist Humane Society

From May 27-29, 2016, Quinte’s Isle Bluegrass celebration held at Quinte Isle Camp Park will feature popular groups such as Dusty Drifters, Shine, Switchback Rd, Concession 23, Sweetgrass, and County Rd 44 among others. This family-friendly event has grown in popularity from year to year, with more and more campers and other visitors coming to sample County hospitality.

This year again, the Quinte’s Isle Bluegrass Celebration has chosen to donate the proceeds from their popular May 28 silent auction to the Loyalist Humane Society. The Loyalist Humane Society (LHS) is a non-profit charitable organization located in Prince Edward County, on County Road 4 west of Picton. The LHS provides care for animals without homes.

From May 24th to June 4th, community members are invited to drop off their used passenger, light truck and agricultural tires at Woodbeck Auto Parts Ltd to support The Sunshine Foundation of Canada " a Canadian charity that helps children with severe disabilities and life threatening illnesses reach their dreams.

In partnership with Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA), Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) and Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS), participating collector locations across Ontario will be hosting Tire Take Back collection event (in its seventh year), where fees from all of the tires returned during business hours will be donated to The Sunshine Foundation of Canada!

"The Chain", a Trenton High School Musical.

Trenton High School is putting on an original musical production created by their Music Theatre students! This year's production is titled "The Chain" and features the music of legendary band Fleetwood Mac. "The Chain" portrays the effect that personal struggles alongside a life altering illness take through four generations of women. The play depicts the impact that the time period has on the situation, taking place throughout the 1900's.

The production will be showcased at Trenton High School on May 27th, 28th, June 3rd, and 4th at 7pm. Tickets are $10.00 and are sold in the main office of the school during regular school hours. Ontario Bicycle Touring Atlas Presentation

Are you a cycling enthusiast? Would you like to learn more about cycling in Ontario? Ontario has some of the best cycling routes in the world, and Howard Pulver, the author of the Ontario Bicycle Touring Atlas will be coming to Belleville Public Library to discuss the newest edition of his atlas. Howard has been on bicycle tours in Quebec, Vermont, France, and Spain. He also runs the “Ontario Bicycle Touring Network” on Facebook, and the popular bicycleontario.ca website. Howard will be discussing how to plan your ride, the best touring areas, clothing, equipment, nutrition and hydration. He will also be selling copies of the most recent edition of the atlas. No registration is required for this free event.

Book launch of A Place Called Wallbridge

The launch of new local history titled A Place Called Wallbridge - a history of the community 1790-2016, will be hosted by the Quinte West Library on Sat. May 28, 1:30 p.m. The author, Alex McNaught, will give a talk and slide presentation on this "remarkable little town" that holds the distinction of being Home of Ontario's Oldest Municipal Government. Come and celebrate with Alex as he tells wonderful stories of local government, schools, churches, businesses, heroic feats, survival, a love story, tragedies, sports and successful citizens who excelled as farmers. politicians, educators, businessmen and war heroes. Come and enjoy meeting former classmates and refreshments. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

A Walk Through Time

Re-enactment camp at the UEL Heritage Centre and Park, on Hwy 33 in Adolphustown. Come see how your ancestors lived in pioneer times! The camps will be open to the public 10-5 Sat and Sun, and 7-9 Saturday evening to see the camps in beautiful candle light and chat by a fire. Demonstrations of daily life include sewing, cast iron cooking on a fire, spinning wool, doll making, leather work, a fashion show, woodworking, and a foundry. A variety of merchants will have goods for sale that could have been sold during these time periods. Please bring cash for your purchases. There will be a small admission fee at the gate to the UELHCP grounds.

A Walk Through Time 1750 -1800

Come to a living history event. See people live as they did during early times in this area. Learn about common activities of those times. Watch people cooking over a fire in cast iron pots, spinning wool, making dolls, blacksmithing, and woodworking. Learn about history, skills and daily life at the talks. Merchants will be selling their wares (cash only). Takes place May 28 10-5 and May 29 10-3 with a candlelight walk on Saturday evening.
