THS Arts Night: Christmas Jazz-Rock Concert & Original Play

Music & drama students from Trenton High School will be performing an instrumental band concert and stage production for the public on Thursday, December 4th at 7:00pm in the auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door for $5.00.

The show will include popular Classic Rock songs like Smoke On the Water, Born To Be Wild and Crazy Train as well as Big Band/Swing arrangements of Christmas favourites. The second portion of the night will feature an original play called Eggnog Anonymous, in which your favourite Christmas characters deal with their problems by turning to eggnog, then come together to tell their stories in a funny sketch about some serious issues.

Respite Job Fair

The Out of Home Respite Committee of Hastings and Prince Edward County are holding a series of Respite Job fairs. The community are invited to drop in and learn what it means to be a respite provider, complete an application form if applicable, and drop off resumes. Staff from various agencies within the committee will have information packages and share information. There are many families who have children with a disability. When these families are able to have planned breaks or ‘respite’ they are able to renew their energy, stays better connected as a couple, and better support their children.

St. Thomas’ Choirs Present A Christmas Festival of Lessons & Carols

The Choirs of St. Thomas' Anglican Church, Belleville, will be presenting a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at St. Thomas' Anglican Church on Sunday afternoon, December 21st.

The service will be presented in the traditional style of King's College, Cambridge. The Junior and Senior choirs, conducted and accompanied by music directors Matthieu Latreille & Francine Nguyen-Savaria, will present Christmas carols and anthems. The congregation is also invited to join in singing some all-time favourites.

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols will start at 4:30 PM. A reception will follow during which light refreshments will be served.
