International TableTop Day Returns!

Scalliwag Toys will be hosting an International TableTop Day games event on 11 April 2015.

International TableTop Day is the brainchild of former Star Trek: The Next Generation and Big Bang Theory actor (and all-round proud geek) Wil Wheaton. It was conceived as a way for the world to celebrate tabletop gaming together. TableTop Day 2014 was celebrated in 80 countries, over all 7 continents, and had over 3,000 events in total. 2015 is going to be even bigger!

Wheaton, host of the popular Youtube show TableTop, has been credited with helping to relaunch the popularity of board gaming. Says Wheaton: “Gamers who played when they were younger but stopped once they got jobs and families are starting up their weekly game nights. Gamers who are pair-bonded to muggles have been able to show their partners why they love gaming so much, introducing them to our hobby in the process.”

Scalliwag Toys will running an all-day event at the store, from 10:00 to 5:00. There is no cost to attend. Come down and play!
