Some significant work will be done on Lock 17 of the Trent Severn Waterway, in Healey Falls, next week.
Crews will be on site, starting October 10, to completely demolish and rebuild the west wall of the dock, to ensure its continued structural integrity and functionality moving forward.
Contractors will have machinery on site for about a week while the work is being done.
The project is part of a five-year, $3 billion commitment from Parks Canada, to rehabilitate waterway and highway assets within national parks, historic sites and conservation areas across the province.
