Willian Ross Bateman October 1, 1936 to December 3, 2025
After a challenging year Ross passed away peacefully at Kingston General Hospital in his 90th year.
Ross is survived by his daughter and business partner Shelley Bateman.
Ross will be sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Terri Bateman of Grande Prairie, grandchildren Jonathan (Jessie) of Calgary, Alex, Darcy (Tayanne) Bateman of Grande Prairie, and Matthew Bell (Alexandra) of Tweed. Also survived by his great granddaughter Morgan Bateman.
Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret Jean Hicks, daughter Susan Bateman and son Stephen Bateman. Ross was also predeceased by his brother Carl Bateman and parents Stanley and Edna Bateman.
Ross was an avid sportsman, loved a good round of golf and was a great supporter of the Belleville Senators. He loved to travel with his good friends to Pinehurst NC for a get away and golf holiday.
Ross loved his home on the lake and spent many years boating with his wife Marg and their three children on Stoco Lake and down in the Thousand Islands.
A casual celebration of life will take place on Sunday 21 December from 1:30 to 5:00 pm (with tributes at 2:00 pm) at the Land O’ Lakes Curing Club in Tweed. Donations can be made to: Kingston General Hospital Intensive Care Unit, Napanee General Hospital or Land O’Lakes Curling Club.
