Badgley, Sandra “Joanie”…passed away with her family by her side at Belleville General Hospital on Friday May 8th, 2026 at the age of 73. Loving wife of Ralph Badgley. Proud mother of Jennifer Badgley, Melissa McClelland (Jeff aka Cheffery) and Melinda Badgley (Larry Bird). Grandma Joanie will be sadly missed by Layne, Tyler and Kait. Sandra is survived by her brother Garry Barker (Cathy). Predeceased by her parents Earl & Evelyne Barker. Joanie will be missed by her many family members and friends.
Sandra was the beloved wife of Ralph and the devoted mother of three daughters; together, they were the foundation of her world and her proudest achievement. She was a woman of spirit who found joy in life’s simple adventures, from scouring the aisles of the thrift store for a hidden treasure to heading to the casino with her sister-in-law for a day of luck and laughter. Even on the quiet days, she loved the simple thrill of ending her evening by scratching a lottery ticket. Sandra had a keen eye for beauty in the unexpected and a playful heart that drew people to her. Yet, of all her roles, her favorite was being a grandmother; nothing brightened her world quite like having her grandson around. The bond they shared was her greatest treasure, and the love she poured into Ralph, her daughters, and her grandson will be her most lasting legacy. She lived her life with a positive spirit that she summed up in her favorite saying: ‘LG LG’-Life is Good.”
