It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Ronald David Risto on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 92 years of age.
He is survived by his loving wife Irene with whom he shared 70 years of marriage. Devoted and loving father to Brian (Leona), Edwin (Gail), Cheryl McGuinness (Joe), and Randall (Patti). He cherished his time spent with his 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Fondly remembered by siblings Christina Lewis (Willard deceased), Richard (Ann), Wayne (Sue) and Keith (Lynn). Ron was also brother-in-law to Lindsay Price (Dorothy), Carolyn Long (Jeff), Eva Price (Earl deceased) and Donald Price (Edrie).
Pre-deceased by his parents Ernest and Gertrude Ristau, siblings Stanley (Joan), Geraldine Farr (Mancil), and Robert as well as brother-in-law Raymond Price.
Ron and Irene shared many adventures together including countless happy times with family and friends at their home in Marysville, hitting the highway on their motorcycle, and travelling across Canada as well as numerous locations around the world.
No matter where Ron may have been, he always made new friends.
Visitation will take place at Burke Funeral Home, 150 Church Street, Belleville on Friday, December 19, 2025, 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 516 Victoria Avenue, Belleville at 11:00 a.m.
