Brown, Robert “Rob” … peacefully passed away at Trenton Memorial Hospital on March 3, 2026, at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Brown (nee Bastedo). Loving father of Kristy (Tyson Cutinha) and Julie (Andrew Bryden). Cherished grandfather of Ryder, Hayley, Alexandra, and Natalie.
Loving brother of Susan and her husband Randy Reid. Rob was a beloved member of the Bastedo family and will be greatly missed by his extended family, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Rob is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Muriel Brown.
Rob was a local businessman for 23 years. He was deeply dedicated to promoting business, and was an active member of his local DBIA and Chamber of Commerce. After closing Rob Brown Men’s Wear, Rob went on to have a successful career with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business. An avid sports fan and talented athlete, Rob enjoyed tennis, hockey, and golf, and appreciated the friendship and camaraderie that grew from his favourite sports. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Trenton Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
Visitation will be held at Weaver Family Funeral Home – West Chapel, 170 Dundas St. West, Trenton, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. A second visitation will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Trenton Memorial Hospital or the Canadian Parkinson Society would be appreciated by the family.
