MEAGHER, Robert John Paul
At the age of 70, Robert John Paul Meagher entered into rest at Hospice Quinte on Saturday, April 25, 2026, with his loving family at his side, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved son of William and Jean Meagher (née Thompson). Cherished father of Rebecca Shannon Meagher (Nate Johnson), Courtney Paige Meagher (Britain Lovsin), Jenoa Lauren Meagher (Ryan Barbeau), and Keila-Jean Meagher (Justin Mielke). Proud and loving grandfather of Lilah, Hendrix, Mada, Freddy, Mina, and Wesley, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Dear brother of Kerri-Lee Clarke (late Richard Clarke), Lynne Mercer (Larry Graves), and Charles Meagher (Jacquie Meagher). He will also be fondly remembered by his nephews Kelsey Meagher, Chris Meagher (Jonee Meagher), Greg Clarke, and David Clarke. Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his ability to be authentic, his sarcastic wit, and his devotion to his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 399 Victoria Avenue, Belleville, on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The Mass will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person, please visit Steele Funeral Home website (steelefuneralhome.ca). Burial to follow at St. James Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to Hospice Quinte (hospicequinte.ca)
