Loving father, grandfather and devoted husband. Selfless to the end.
Rick passed peacefully at home on Friday, August 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 10, 1947 to the late Clayton and Doris Moy (nee Benn). Mourning his passing are his loving wife of 41 years, Shirley (nee Boulton), sister Lyla Treverton (Paul), sons Chris (Cathryn) and Jeff (Alison), cherished granddaughters Hannah, Lauren and Amy, and nephews Darren and Colton (Amelia) Treverton, and Mel (Adele) and Greg Boulton.
Fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law John, Richard (Dianne) and Ross (Bonnie) Boulton.
Rick was a long-term employee of Cook’s wholesale on Everett Street in Belleville, where he developed his love of driving. He never passed up on an opportunity to hop in the car and drive somewhere new. His marriage to Shirley in 1984, however, ignited his passion for international travel, and the two subsequently enjoyed many years of exploring the world together.
Rick was a deeply dedicated family man, and was always there when you needed him. He had a smile or a joke for everyone he met. His good natured, friendly personality, and sense of humour will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Celebration of life and internment to occur at a later date.
