In Loving Memory
Peggy June Harder
June 17th, 1932 – December 31st, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Peggy Harder (nee Plumton), at the Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, in her 94th year.
Daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie Plumton and beloved wife of 51 years, her late husband Maitland Harder (2001). Loving father of Dexter (Karen), Ralph (Anne), Eric (Annette), Neil (Melanie), Elaine (late Grant Mumby) and Owen (Jacqueline). Fondly remembered grandmother and step-grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Peggy is survived by her sister Kathleen (Kit) Bronson and sisters-in-law Diane Plumpton, Rena Cunningham, Nettie Larson and Joan Harder, and brother-in-law Max Drews. Predeceased by brothers George (Bud), Clarence (Ike), Douglas and Floyd Plumton (Plumpton) and sister Dona Plumton. Predeceased by sister-in-law Evelyn, Ruthe and Hilda Plumton (Plumpton), Thelma, Viola, Gloria, Anna and Theresa Harder, Rita Drews, Clara Hoskin and brothers-in-law; Harry Bronson, Byron, Harrison, Douglas, Walter, Richard (Dick) and Winfield Harder, George Cunningham, Rollie Larson and Thorold Hoskin.
A Service and Celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at Westminster United Church, 1199 Wallbridge Loyalist Road, Belleville, on Friday, January 16th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. All are invited for a luncheon at the church immediately following the service. Inurnment to be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Westminster United Church or to QH-Belleville General Hospital (Oncology Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
