Paul Douglas Huffman
With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of Paul Douglas Huffman announces his passing on September 30, 2025 at the age of 81. A devoted husband, proud father and cherished poppa, he left the world peacefully after receiving excellent care from the Level 5 Quinte Health team as well as Hospice Quinte, for whom the family will be forever grateful.
Paul was born in Belleville to Doug and Nina Huffman (predeceased). He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife and best friend of 59 years, Sandra (Keitch), his children Peter and his wife Brenda, Julie and her partner Brian and his much loved grandchildren Lindsay (Noah), Abby (Ben) and Nathan (Brenna). Brother of Ellen Gray (predeceased) and survived by his sister Suzanne Scerri (Ed). Paul is also lovingly remembered by the Keitch family and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Paul and Sandra owned and operated Doug’s Food Service in Cannifton for forty years. He was well known in the construction industry and several car dealerships and factories throughout Belleville. He was a former member of the Quinte Curling Club and a member of the Kinsmen Club and K40.
Paul was a man known for his work ethic, quick wit and trademark sarcasm that never failed to bring a smile, eye roll or laugh to those around him
A life long fan of the Blue Jays, Paul could often be found sitting in his signature red chair cheering them on every season, win or lose.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 25 from 1 pm to 4 pm at Sans-Souci (240 Front Street, Belleville), with tributes beginning at 2pm.
If desired, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Huntington Society of Canada or Hospice Quinte.
Cremation has taken place.
