Muriel Hillier – September 21,1925- June 22, 2026.
Muriel passed peacefully into the arms of the angels at Northumberland Hospital on Monday, June 22, 2026, in her 101st year.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lance, and her loving sister, Florence White.
Muriel was the cherished mother of Ella (Ken), Barbara (Doug), Wayne (Karen), and Ken. She was a devoted grandmother to Tanya, Angela, Christian, Brent, Lianne, and Jennifer; a proud great-grandmother to Regan, Brendan, Ethan, Foster, Levi, Annsley, Nolan, Logan, and Emma; and a treasured great-great-grandmother to Lola.
Muriel will also be lovingly remembered by her girlhood friend, Meta Shirley, brothers in law, Max (June) and George ( Ethel) Hillier and her many nieces and nephews in Ontario, British Columbia and Newfoundland.
A genuinely sweet, generous, and happy woman, Muriel brought warmth and kindness wherever she went. People naturally gravitated to her gentle spirit, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Cremation has already taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date this Fall. Interment will take place at that time in Christ Church Anglican Church Cemetery, Campbellford.
