Moira Bryson passed away peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Ottawa at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Ron Bryson. Deeply cherished sister of Liz Gourlay (née Mooney) and the late James Mooney and Margaret Cox (née Mooney). Devoted and loving Auntie to Jim, John, Patrick, Michael and Colette Mooney, Karen and Debbie Gourlay, and Jane, Joseph and Oliver Cox. Much loved Great Auntie to all her Cox, Gourlay, Mooney and Mooney-Muñoz great nieces and nephews. Moira will be missed by the Bryson family: stepson Mike and his wife Dinah, step daughter Nancy MacTavish (née Bryson), sister-in-law Sarah and brothers-in-law John and Louis, their families and her nephews and nieces in Canada.
Moira was a dedicated teacher for over 20 years. On retirement she steadfastly, yet quietly supported her late husband Ron in his role as President of Branch #110 of the Royal British Legion in Trenton. Moira was a much loved and generous woman and she will be truly missed.
A Mass and Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 140 Dundas St W, Trenton on Monday, March 30th, 2026 at 11 AM, followed by inurnment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Trenton. Guests are welcome to follow the family to the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch #110, 19 Quinte St, Trenton afterwards for a reception.In keeping with Moira’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
