LASHER, Marty Robin
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dearly loved dad Marty Lasher who left our lives on April 24, 2025 at the age of 56, in Belleville, Ontario.
Marty was born on August 8, 1968 in Belleville, Ontario. His love for his family was evident in all that knew him. Marty took pride in his job as a custodian at the H.P.E.D.S.B. for the last 16 years and enjoyed making his family smile.
He is survived by his loving daughters Kylee (Brad), Mackenzie (Tyler) and granddaughters McKenna and Aubrey. Fondly remembered by Mary.
Marty was also survived by his mother Gail (Gail passed away peacefully 3 days after her son), siblings, Laurie, Bruce, John and Doreen and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Keith and brother Douglas.
Though his passing has brought profound sadness, his family finds comfort in the cherished moments they shared and the strength they find in each other.
Marty’s family have organized a Celebration of Life which will be held on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 (1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall, Boundary Road, Roslin, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers a donation in Marty’s name may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Enrichment Centre of Mental Health. Arrangements entrusted to Steele Funeral Home, Belleville (613-968-2273).
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning
that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death
we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
you did not go alone
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide and though
we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same
but as God calls us, one by one
the chain will link again.
