It is with great sadness that I share the news of Margie’s passing. Before you read Margie’s words, I want you to know that she was the love of my life, my best friend, and the bravest person I have ever known. Her strength and love were amazing, and I never stopped being in awe of both. She filled my life with more laughter and love than I could ever put into words and gave our daughter, JamieLee, the love, guidance, and support that only a devoted mother could give.Margie loved The Wizard of Oz. In her final days, she came to understand the truth of the quote, “A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others”
Margaret Ann Bahry (MacDonnell) Margie.
Margie passed away at home in Belleville surrounded by family on September 30th 2026. Born and raised in Niagara Falls.
Margie’s message:
I’m sad to leave the love of my life, my best friend, my Husband, John Bahry. He made me laugh the first time we met at the age of 19 and continued to bring laughter to me throughout our time together.
I’m leaving my beautiful daughter, JamieLee Janet, in good hands with Peter Webb my future son in law and my ducklings, Tate (Skate), Avery (Girl 1), Arynne (Girl 2) whom I adore beyond measure.
My beloved mother, Betty MacDonnell, will grieve with my siblings, Mary & Doug Craig, Dan & Sharon MacDonnell, Gina & Dave Bertolo (my honey Dave) along with treasured nieces and nephews. Plus many friends who have left imprints of love on my heart.
Find a reason to laugh even in the darkest moments.
Peace, Love and Cupcakes ,
Margie
