Karen Lynn Bowler (née Hannah) May 24, 1959 – March 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Lynn Bowler on March 13, 2026, at the age of 66. A lifelong resident of Belleville, Ontario, Karen was born on May 24, 1959, to William and Margaret Hannah (née Murray). She is now reunited with her beloved husband, the late Greg Bowler.
Karen was a dedicated employee of the Belleville Post Office for many years, but her true calling was her family. While she wore many hats, her favorite title was undoubtedly “Grandma.” She spent her happiest moments tending to her garden, capturing memories through photography, and creating beautiful crafts—passions she joyfully passed down to her three cherished grandchildren.
She leaves behind a large and devoted family, including her daughter Lindsay Mountney and son-in-law Josh. She was the proud Grandma of Lainey, Everley, and Emerson. Karen is survived by her siblings Gary Hannah, Dougie Hannah, Sharlene (David) Pulver, Diane Leitch, Murray (Roxanne) Hannah, Sharon (Glen) Rushlow, Janice (Dave) Sager, and Scott (Gina) Hannah. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and dear friend Tina. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
In keeping with Karen’s wishes, a celebration of life will take place on May 24, 2026 from 1-4 p.m at 193 Shannonville Road Tyendinaga, ON K0K 3A0.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to Steele Funeral Home, Belleville.
