With broken hearts, we share the news of the passing of Henry John Moelker in his 63rd year at Kingston Health Science Centre in Kidd 2 ICU with his loving wife Neva by his side. Proud father of Nate (Jade). Prouder Poppee to Hudson, Abigail and Gibson. Survived by his siblings Rosey Canniff (Ed), George Moelker (Rick), Patsy Mitten, Leonard, Moelker and sister-in-law Stephanie Moelker. Brother-in-law to Lyman McEwen (Suzanne). Henry is remembered as a nephew, cousin and special uncle to many nieces and nephews by blood and by choice, and of course all of his friends. He is predeceased by his parents Marcus & Beverley Moelker, his in-laws John & Lorraine McEwen, his brother and sister-in-law Paul & Cindy Moelker, brother Benjamin Moelker, and sisters-in-law Patricia Walker, Diana and Betty McEwen. During his lifetime he worked very hard, starting out on his uncle Peter‘s farm. He loved baseball, crib and hockey and was a die hard Habs fan. His unique laugh was his signature. He will be well remembered. The family wish to extend a sincere thank you to the many medical professionals who over the years cared for Henry with such kindness, care and compassion.
A celebration of life will be held at Trinity-St Andrews United Church, 56 Prince Edward St., Brighton on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026. Visitation from 1 to 2pm, followed by the service at 2pm. If desired, donations to the Quinte Organ Transplant Support Group, Lion’s Camp Dorset or Almost Home would be appreciated by the family. These places and people were near and dear to his heart.
