Carr, Helyn Valeria — a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and deeply loved great-grandmother — passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, in her 58th year, in Belleville, Ontario.
Born on June 24, 1968, in Burlington, Ontario, to Ron and Gail Carr, Helyn lived a life centered around caring for others. She was a nurturing soul with a big heart, always putting her family first. Whether it was offering advice, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when someone needed her, Helyn had a way of making people feel loved and safe.
She found comfort in the simple things — her Tim Hortons coffee, her favorite chocolate bars, and quiet moments spent surrounded by those she loved. Her strength, warmth, and unmistakable presence will be missed beyond words.
Helyn leaves behind her beloved children: Krystal of Belleville, Teri-Anne (Matt) of Calgary, Jordan (Charity) of Springbrook, and Lien (Cole) of Trenton. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Malibu, Edric, Isabelle, Layla, Cheyenne, Michael, Dakota, Destiny, Cheyenne, and Addison, and a devoted great-grandmother to Oliver, who brought her so much joy.
She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Jane of Brighton, Rose (Ed) of Burlington, Brian of Frankford, and Bruce (Bev) of Brighton, as well as her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Helyn was predeceased by her parents, Ron and Gail Carr.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and is at peace. Her love lives on through her family and the countless memories she leaves behind.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations in memory of Helyn may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
