MEIER, Helen Blanche (Co-proprietor of Meier’s Leather with late husband Leo Meier) – entered into rest at Moira Place, Tweed, on Friday, May 2nd, 2025, at the age of 88. Dear daughter of the late Jaroslan & Vlasta Savara. Beloved wife of the late Leo Joseph Meier. Cherished mother of Tony Meier (Louise), Cathy Cassidy (Wayne), Carolin Cassidy (late Tim), Lili Meier, John Meier (Lisa), and the late Leo Meier Jr. Dearly missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Loving sister of Jerry Savara (Emeria), and the late Zdenka Henigman (late Frank). Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville, on Thursday, May 8th, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Joseph’s Church, 399 Victoria Avenue, Belleville, at 11:00 a.m. Rites of Committal St. James Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Alzheimers Society or the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward.
