It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our Patriarch … Glenn Frederick Hay. Glenn’s everlasting faith and constant devotion to his family and farm made him a respected and treasured husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Glenn was 102 years old and will be greatly missed every day by his dear wife of 78 years Marion (Sanders), three sons Dawson, Dale (Nancy), Kevin (Laurie-Anne) and his daughter Karen (Peter). Glenn and Marion’s endearing love is cherished and honoured by their ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He loved any opportunity to visit with them all, sharing stories of the farm and of his family as it grew over the years. Glenn’s everlasting faith, coupled with his strong sense of hard work and resilience is echoed in the undeniable commitment he had for his family. Glenn’s gift to them all is a legacy for the ages. He was a lifelong member of Burnbrae Presbyterian Church and served many years as an Elder. Glenn was predeceased by his parents Fred and Frances Hay, sister Enid Oliver and brother Lyle Hay. The entire family is very grateful for the home care Glenn received from many, and would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to his Personal Support Worker Heather who was with him daily. Following Glenn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at Burnbrae Cemetery. For anyone wishing to do so, donations in Glenn’s memory may be made to Burnbrae Presbyterian Church. Memories, stories and condolences can be shared online at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com.
