Gertrude “Trude” Rosenthal (nee Pletz) passed away peacefully at home in Frankford on May 7, 2026, at the age of 99. She was the beloved wife of the late John (Hasi) Rosenthal.
Trude will be greatly missed by her family: Ingrid, Gerry, Robert, and Joanne Berger; Ursula and Don Pidgeon; Christa and Peter Klocko and their families; as well as dear family friends Helga and Hubert Rempfer and Irene and Willie Hirscmuller.
She is remembered with love by her chosen family: Inge and Terry, Maggie and Marc, Annie, Vera, Ron, Danny, and Tonya, all of whom held a special place in her life. Addie and Seth will also dearly miss their cherished “Oma Trude,” as will her friends Veronica and Bonnie. Trude touched many lives with her warmth, grace, and kindness. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Natalia Pletz.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Frankford on June 11th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
