D’Amico, Gertrude (Geltrude) nee Nespoli…. Passed away at Crown Ridge Nursing Home on Monday, September 29, 2025 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife to Luigi D’Amico for almost 70 years. Dear mother to Jemmy D’Amico (Debra Baine), Linda Vidak (Milan Vidak) and Roberto D’Amico (Karen Huynh). She will be missed by all her grandchildren; Nicholas, Gina, Petar, Antonio. Predeceased by her siblings; Elia Pavone (Luigi), Venere, Geremia (Ida), Bonaventura (surviving spouse Maria) and surviving sister Diana (Pietro). Gertrude will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Canada, USA and Italy. The family will receive friends at the Weaver Family Funeral Home, 29 Bay Street, Trenton on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 3-6 pm and again on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church, 140 Dundas Street, Trenton on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 am. Interment at Belleville Cemetery 631 Dundas Street West, Belleville. Reception to follow at Occasions by the Bay (former Italian Club), 980 Highway #2 Bayside.
