Hitchman, George …. passed away peacefully at The Bridge Hospice in Warkworth on July 13, 2026 at the age of 98 years. Beloved husband of the late June Hitchman (nee Austen). Loving father to Michael (Erlene), Craig (Sandra) and Mark (Kari). Cherished grandfather of Sean, Gregory, Andrea, Ashley, David, Philip, Evan and Emily. Proud great grandfather of Maysen, Luca, Nolan, Tallieah, William, Rory, Violet, Zayla and Norah. He will be missed by his sister Betty Ledger. George is predeceased by his parents Henry and Evelyn Hitchman and brother Walter Hitchman. Respecting George’s wishes cremation will take place with a private family interment at Prospect Cemetery in Toronto. If desired, donations to Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation or The Bridge Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
