George A. Walker
George of Kenron Estates passed away peacefully after a short illness on Sunday February 8th, 2026 at the age of 85. Dearly beloved partner of Barbara Procher for 34 years. Survived by his son Jeremy (Lesley) and grandchildren Grayson and Charlotte of Russell, Ont. Also survived by his sister Sheila Pheely, niece Linda Coyle (Drew) and their two daughters Nicole and Louise, his nephew Thomas Pheely (Rachel) and their children Joe and Emmy all of Scotland. Step “Da” to Barb’s surviving adult children; Kim (Rocky), Gord (Mary Ellen), Wendy, and Chris (Deb), 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
George was a proud Scotsman who immigrated from Scotland in 1964 after completing his apprenticeship in the Electrical Trade. On arrival in Canada, he immediately secured a job as a Master Electrician and was a long standing member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 586 in Ottawa. Upon retirement, George and Barb travelled extensively with their trailer in tow throughout Canada and the U.S., meeting many new friends and creating wonderful memories along the way. He will be sorely missed.
