Freida May Hewton

Hewton, Freida May (nee Tripp) peacefully at Hastings Manor, Belleville on Friday January 31st, 2025, formerly of Consecon. Pre-deceased by her parents, Roy & Elsie Tripp, and her siblings; Earl (late Helen), Eleanor Silver (late Andy), Alan (late Carol), Wayne (surviving Marilyn), Winston (surviving Rachel). Loved wife for 69 years to the late Ira Hewton. Predeceased by her loving sons, Bruce (surviving Cyndy) of Wooler and her two infant sons. Loved by her daughter Janice Hubbs and her husband Ron of Carrying Place. Nana “Hoot” to grandchildren; Ryan, Karla, Kyle, and Steve, and to her great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law, Iva Browne (nee Hewton). She will be missed by several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Janice wishes to thank all the care givers over the past several years. First at Eden Place, and especially Hastings Manor, Oak Villa, who have been amazing over the last 3 and a half years.

Family and friends are invited to visitation at Weaver – East, 29 Bay St., Trenton on Friday February 7th, 2025 from 3:00 – 5:00pm. Private spring interment at the Carrying Place Annex.
