Bradshaw, Elisabeth (Lis)
July 6, 1975 – March 15, 2026
Surrounded by family, Lis passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Cherished daughter of John and Barbara Rua; beloved wife and best friend of Chad Bradshaw; loving mother of Summer, Skye, and Bryson; cherished sister of Paul Rua (Jenny); loving Aunt of Evan and Aiden Rua; daughter-in-law of Murney Bradshaw (Deanna) and Margaret Brownson; sister-in-law of Cory Bradshaw. Lis will also be deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and by her companion Oliver (the family dog).
Lis graduated from Trent University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and later attended Loyalist College and graduated with a diploma from the Social Service Worker Programme. She worked for the County of Hastings as a Caseworker in Social Services.
Lis had a deep love for family and always put others first. She was an amazing cook and very proud of her Portuguese heritage. Lis had a beautiful smile that was unforgettable to anyone that saw it.
Visitation will be held at the Burke Funeral Home (613-968-6968), 150 Church Street, Belleville on Sunday March 22nd, 2026 from 2:00 pm. to 5:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will take place at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 296 Church Street, Belleville on Monday March 23rd, 2026 at 10:30 am.
Donations to Hospice Quinte or The Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic at Belleville General Hospital are appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank all the medical and support staff, family and friends who helped Lis during her illness.
