Eleanor Ann Ruth Gunn, known to most of us as “Sue”
Tuesday, March 20, 1945 – Friday, September 11, 2026
We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Sue Gunn in the Emergency Department of Quinte Health Trenton Memorial Hospital on Friday, September 11, 2026. Sue was born to Edward and Lily Gunn in Noranda, QC, on March 20, 1945. Her early years were spent in Noranda until she left for a job with Stelco in Hamilton, subsequently joining the Canadian Armed Forces until her retirement.
Sue was a very generous person and had a firm belief in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour.
She enjoyed Ebenezer Coffee Time, Trenton Pentecostal Bible Studies, and she supported the Meat Draw at RCAFA 413 Wing. She adopted rescue animals to live out their days in love and comfort.
Sue was predeceased by her parents, her sister Mary, and is survived by her brother, Rev. John (Muriel) Gunn. She is also survived by her friend Patricia, cousins, and many other friends.
Funeral service will be at the Weaver Family Funeral Home, 29 Bay Street, Trenton on Saturday, September 19th at 11 am, with an hour of visitation with the family prior to the service. Recording of the funeral service will be available on the Weaver website the following day. Interment: Mount Evergreen Cemetery, Stockdale Road.
