Donna Arlene BROWN
Donna Arlene Brown (nee Rollins) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Heart of Hastings Hopsice in Madoc on Thursday, May 28th, 2026 in her 95th year.
Born August 10th, 1931 in Cooper, ON. Donna was predeceased by her loving husband, Harry. She was the second youngest of 9 children, predeceased by her siblings, Jean, Rayburn, Burton, Audrey, Fay, Ivan, Velma and Glenn.
The definition of matriarch, she lived for her family. Wonderful mother to Rick (Lisa), Glenn, Danny (Michelle) and Arlene (Bruce). Absolutely cherished grandma to Kayla, Melissa (Robert), Courtney, Matthew (Kaitlyn), Hannah (Justin), Olivia and Ella. Adored great-grandma to Rhett, Ayden, Barrett and Gracelynn.
Born and raised on the farm in Cooper, Donna has always portrayed the strongest work ethic, with the biggest heart. She lead her life the way we can only aspire to, with love and devotion for her family. She spent her days in her garden and whipping up her Madoc famous raspberry jam and pies. Never without a berry pail or a smile, you could find her in the garden!
She will be missed beyond words, remembered always and loved forever!
“Though her footsteps are missed along the path,
Her legacy blooms in the aftermath.
For she planted seeds of love in our hearts,
From her garden of life, we’ll never part.”
Graveside service to be held at the Cooper Cemetary, Friday June 5th at 1pm. Luncheon to follow at the United Church in Madoc.
If desired, donations may be made to the Heart of Hastings Hospice – Madoc, in honour of Donna’s memory.
