Dianne Lillian Marion Wilson (Ellis), loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and proud community member, passed away peacefully on January 25th at the age of 75. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and fierce love will be forever remembered by her family and all who knew her.
Born on November 8th, 1949, in Trenton, Dianne grew up with her seven siblings, treasuring the bonds she shared with Harvey, Bob, Rick, Wayne, Barb, Judy, and Jackie.
Dianne shared 56 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Don Wilson. Their love was a shining example of devotion and partnership, creating a strong foundation for their family. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Dianne was the proud and loving mother of Don Wilson Jr. (Mary) and Ron Wilson (Charlene). She found immense joy in her grandchildren Kailie (Kevin), Dustin (Liam), Theresa (Stephen), and Mike, and embraced her role as a great-grandmother to William, Warren, Charlotte, Curtis, Bianca, Chase, Landon, Emmett, Finn, Luka, Lexi, Jackson, and Hunter, and great-great-grandmother to Bruin and Matteo.
Dianne was known for her dedication to Grandpa Ellis Taffy, a family business she ran with pride and passion. She poured her heart into every piece, creating sweet memories for generations of customers. Alongside her entrepreneurial spirit, she generously gave her time as a volunteer at the Mission Thrift Store, where her warmth and kindness touched countless lives.
In her quiet moments, Dianne found joy in reading, completing word search books, and staying connected with friends and family on Facebook. She was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones, always offering encouragement, support, and love.
A celebration of life will be held this spring/summer. Family and friends will be invited to gather to honour her memory and share stories of the beautiful life she led once plans are confirmed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Diabetes Association, a cause close to Dianne’s heart.
Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved who have gone before her and that her love will forever guide and comfort them. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A mother’s love is the heart of a family, and Dianne’s love, along with the lasting devotion she shared with Don, will guide them always
