Diane Lois Raycroft (née Murray) was born in Belleville, Ontario, on April 26, 1937, and passed away peacefully at Hospice Quinte on July 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved daughter of the late Jack and Rose Murray.
Diane was predeceased by her devoted husband, William Raycroft; her sister, Margaret Hannah (late Bill); and her brother, Douglas Murray (Joan).
She was the heart and soul of her family. Our greatest cheerleader, our safe place, and the truest example of unconditional love. Her kindness, generosity, unwavering faith, and sense of humour touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a remarkable gift for making every person feel loved, welcomed, and important.
She leaves behind her loving sister, Edna Poste (Lorne); her four children, Tammy (Ron), Terry, Tracey (Kyle), and Teresa (Steve); her six cherished grandchildren, Jeff, Brad, Dana, Tyler, Austin, and Ashley; and her four adored great-grandchildren, Tessa, Liam, Oliver, and Max.
Diane will also be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, especially Donna Graves and Joanne MacInnes, whose friendship meant so much to her.
Diane was a longtime employee of Brooke Bond and a lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Belleville. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life and brought her great comfort and strength.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of CarePartners, ParaMed, and Hospice Quinte for the exceptional care, kindness, and dignity they provided to Diane and her family during her final days.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24 from 4 to 7pm at Burke Funeral Home, 150 Church Street. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 25 at 10:30 am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 296 Church Street, Belleville. Reception to follow at Burke Funeral Home.
