Christine June Bone, beloved daughter of the late Doug Bone and the late Joan Bone. Born April 3, 1952, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her four siblings and brother-in-law, on Saturday, February 8, 2025 in Belleville General Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
A graduate of Nicholson Catholic College, Chris worked at a number of jobs in Belleville, including factory work and cleaning positions. She loved roller skating, bowling and walking. She spent many hours on her favourite routes around town and circuits through the Quinte Mall. She took many bus excursions to points of interest around Ontario and visited the Maritimes by train.
Chris was a lifelong sports fan, and followed the Blue Jays closely. One of her great joys was participating in Belleville’s annual Santa Claus Parade.
She is survived by her Aunt Jeannie (Patricia), four siblings, Steven, Daniel (Marsha), Cathy Goddard (Jeff, deceased), and Mary (Phil), cousin Christopher (Leah), nieces Jessica, Lucy, Mackenzie, Desi, Hayley, and Jackie. Nephews Douglas, Henry, George, Skylar and her great nieces and nephews.
Chris’s family wishes to thank the ICU staff at BGH and her Hastings Manor family for their compassion and care in her final years. We will miss our “Big Sis, Chris”
There will be no service at this time, the family will celebrate Christine’s life at a later date.
