Bernard (Bernie) Joseph Fobear
Born April 14th 1943 in Brockville, ON.
On Sunday, August 17th, in his 83rd year, Bernie departed peacfully at home on his own terms, with courage and grace surrounded by family for his final hunting trip.
Bernie is reuniting with his parents Tom and Elian, his sister Evelyn Erwin, his brother Carl, his Papa Louis, cousin Jean and his faithful hound Tater.
He is survived by his companion Karen, his four children, Patricia (Kirk), Tim (Laura), Michelle (Andrew) and Michael (Angela), his grandchildren Nicolas, Katarina, Noah, Chad, Owen, Georgia, Gwen, Levi, Lila, Tyler, Bryce, Zoey and Elijah, his siblings Verona Fobear and Lionel Fobear, his lifelong friend Bob McGuire and Lynda Barry in Picton.
A special thank you to Dr. Woods, Dr. Kankesan and the wonderful staff at the Belleville Cancer center and to Dr. Morin and his companion Karen, for ensuring he was able to spend his final days surrounded by the love of friends and family at his home.
Funeral Mass to be held at St. Carthagh’s Catholic Church in Tweed on Saturday August 23rd, with visitation at 10 followed by Mass at 11. Internment at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Queensborough with reception to follow at Queensborough Hall.
