Akins, Barbara Marion nee McMillan…Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19th, 2026 in her 89th year. Loving wife for over 64 years to the late Gordon Robert Akins. Loving mom to Margaret-Ann Lain (Brian), Ross Akins (Michele), Ray Akins (Aida) and predeceased by son Ronald Akins (Tracy). Dear grandma to Bradley (Meagan), Kevin (Mairi), Cheyenne (Adam), Eileen (Jakob), Gordon ,Ryan and Dale and great grandmother to Theo, Meadow Belle, Bethany, Emmett and Emma. She is survived by her half brother Merle McMillan (Jackie) and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
