Lois Anne MacDonald (nee Goodmurphy)
May 4, 1934- April 13, 2026
After a courageous battle with Crohn’s disease and cancer, Lois passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Her final days were filled with comfort and compassionate care from an exceptional medical Paramed team alongside those closest to her. Lois had a deep love for travel and cherished social outings with friends and family. She especially enjoyed bus trips, attending shows, and going to her regular coffee mornings with her girlfriends at Albert Park. Her sense of humour remained with her until the end often expressed through a quiet, warm smile. Born and raised in Consecon Ontario, Lois built a life centred on family and community. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Raymond MacDonald also of Consecon. Together, they shared a life rich in love and generosity while raising their three children, Ken, (Cathy), Lorie Stevenson, (Terry) Dave, (Dawn). Lois will be lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren, Curtus Stevenson (Lindsay), Nathan Stevenson (Jessica), Selena Rosillo (Tim), Dana Kerr (Jay), Sarah MacDonald (Derek Fraser) and Scott MacDonald (Meghan Petherick). She was also a proud and devoted “GG” to her twelve cherished great grandchildren; Noah, Ethan & Wyatt (Nathan and Jessica), Layla & Lily (Curtus and Lindsay) Lydia & Henry (Selena & Tim) Zoe & Gordon (Dana & Jay), Taylor & Jacob (Sarah & Derek). She was predeceased by her siblings Earl Goodmurphy, Jean Elmy, Ruth Scott, Ross Goodmurphy, and Edith Hubbard, as well as her great grandson, Dylan Kerr. Lois will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She found great joy in family, gatherings and celebrations which she treasured dearly. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Steele Funeral Home, Belleville.
