The snow is causing hazardous driving conditions throughout the region today, with police responding to a number of traffic accidents. The O-P-P have closed the westbound lanes of highway 4-0-1 between Percy Street, Colborne and County Road 45, Cobourg, although local traffic can get onto the highway at County Road 23, Grafton. A tractor trailer jackknifed west of Percy shortly after eleven o’clock this morning, and it is blocking both lanes. There is no information yet on whether anyone was injured. A detour has been set up on County Road 22 from Castleton to County Road 45..
