The YMCA of Central East Ontario recognizes the generosity and community spirit of Greenbacks Pawn Shop following a donation in support of local families.
On October 21, Greenbacks Pawn Shop owners Terry Aide and Steve Richardson presented a cheque for $3,000 to David Allen, president & CEO of the YMCA of Central East Ontario, and Cassandra Bonn, YMCA Strong Kids campaign co-chair.
The funds were raised during Greenbacks Pawn Shop’s 25th Anniversary Celebration this summer.
Their donation helps to ensure that children, youth, adults, and families can access essential YMCA programs and services by removing financial barriers
“Community support like this makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve,” said David Allen, president & CEO of the YMCA of Central East Ontario. “We are incredibly grateful to Terry, Steve, and the entire Greenbacks team for choosing to invest in the well-being of our community through the Strong Kids Campaign.”
Through their generous contribution, Greenbacks Pawn Shop is helping to provide access to health and wellness programs, childcare, camps, swimming lessons, youth leadership opportunities, and other vital community services.
“I’d like to extend a huge thank you to Terry, Steve and the entire Greenbacks Pawnshop team for their generous $3,000 donation in support of the campaign, made in celebration of their 25th anniversary in business,” said Cassandra Bonn, Strong Kids Campaign co-chair. “Congratulations on 25 years and thank you for showing that Greenbacks truly gives back to the community.”
