U10 – The County Cooperage U10 Red Devils
The U10 County Cooperage Red Devils were back at home Saturday against the undefeated Central Ontario Wolves. The two teams battled hard and the Devils came out of the first period leading by one. The battle continued through the second and third periods, both teams continuing to apply pressure, but in the end the Devils came out on top shutting down COW in a 4-0 win, playing one of their best games to date. The boys kept the momentum going as they traveled to historic St. Andrew’s College to face off against York Simcoe Express for the first time this season. Once again, our Devils applied pressure, worked hard and played a great team game. This led them to shut down YSE in a 7-0 victory. This weekend brings the U10 County Cooperage Red Devils record to 6 wins and 1 loss, putting them into first place in their division.
They’re looking forward to some team bonding this week before taking on the Pete’s and YSE again next weekend.

U12 – Red Devils Battle at the Canadiens Cup

Friday proved challenging for Quinte, starting with a fast, tight game that ended in a 2-0 loss to the PAL Jr. Islanders Blue. This was followed by a tough 6-0 setback against a very strong Toronto Jr. Canadiens squad, who would go on to become tournament champions.
The Devils fought back on Saturday with a strong 4-0 victory over the Brantford 99ers, driven by goals from Silverburg, Lacaria, Cooke and Unger, with helpers from Dawson and Baily. In their final match, Quinte battled hard against the Mississauga Senators but came up just short in a 2-1 contest, with Silverburg netting the lone goal, assisted by Baily.

U13 – Red Devils Sweep Northern Road Trip
The U13 Breakaway Gas Red Devils hit the road this weekend for their northern swing. The weekend started Friday night with a game against the Barrie Colts. With a bitter taste still in their mouths from last weekend’s playoff loss to the same Colts, the boys put on a defensive clinic and had every forward line chip in a goal to take a 3-0 win. Deacon Vos grabbed the shutout in net.
Saturday they were off to Orillia to battle the North Central Predators. The young Devils scored two quick ones to grab an early lead and took a 2-0 advantage into the third period. Mason Pepper stood tall in net and the boys rallied with four third-period goals to grab another two points with a 6-1 victory.
The road trip wrapped up Sunday back in Barrie with an evening game. This was another tight-checking contest, with the Breakaway Gas boys taking a slim 1-0 lead into the third. A goal in the first minute extended the lead to 2-0 before some penalty trouble let the Colts back into it with two quick power-play goals. The final few minutes were back and forth, and the Devils scored the game winner with just over two minutes remaining to lock down a big 3-2 road win.

U15 – The U15 Quinte Red Devils Fire Up a Winning Week
The U15 Cozy Home Heating & Air Conditioning Quinte Red Devils had a successful week on home ice, earning a pair of impressive victories. Strong team play, timely offence and dependable goaltending helped the Devils carry momentum from one game into the next.
Tuesday, October 20 vs. Central Ontario Wolves
The Red Devils defended home ice Tuesday evening at RCAF Flyers Arena with a thrilling overtime victory over the Central Ontario Wolves. QRD got the offence rolling in the opening frame, lighting the lamp to take an early lead. The Wolves responded in the second period, capitalizing on the man advantage to even the score at 1-1. Neither team could find the back of the net in the third period despite pressure at both ends of the ice, sending the game to overtime. The Devils wasted little time sealing the deal, converting on the power play just 45 seconds into the extra frame. In net for QRD, Ben Larmer came up with some incredible saves to help secure the victory. Griffin Van Gemeren and Jamieson Dee found the back of the net for the Devils, while Carter Colebourne, Cooper Plumley, Antonio Auciello and Keaton Clute picked up assists.
Saturday, October 24 vs. North Central Predators
On home ice again Saturday afternoon, the Red Devils earned a convincing 5-1 win over the North Central Predators. Quinte opened the scoring in the first period, but North Central responded to pull even at 1-1. The Devils took charge in the middle frame, finding the net three times, including twice on the power play, to build a comfortable lead, and added a fifth goal in the third to put the game firmly in hand. Ben Larmer was solid between the pipes, making key stops to help preserve the win. QRD’s goals came from Griffin Van Gemeren, Cooper Plumley, Antonio Auciello (2) and Kingston Holzmann, with assists credited to Everett Brown, Kingston Holzmann (2), Antonio Auciello (2), Hewett Tejnor (2), Levi Mallory and Jack Paddon.

U16 – Red Devils
Hockey is rarely measured by the scoreboard alone; true development is forged through adversity, relentless effort, and unyielding character. The Quinte Red Devils recently faced a demanding stretch of games against top-tier competition, displaying the determination, commitment, and teamwork that lay the foundation for long-term growth.
The journey began with a tough test against the Peterborough Petes. Displaying real character throughout the night, the Red Devils held a talented Petes team to a 5-0 differential heading into the third period—a solid effort that spoke volumes about the structure and commitment they brought for most of the game. Goaltender Nathan Armstrong stood strong in net, giving his team a chance and making critical saves when they were needed most. The Red Devils kept battling right to the final buzzer with no quit and no drop in effort, proving that staying connected as a committed group is the kind of response that builds something special.
Next, the squad faced Barrie in a matchup that highlighted continued strides in team play. A strong first period saw Barrie strike first before Will Prinzen answered late to tie it up, with assists coming from David Vincent and Brock Gunter. Although Barrie regained the lead before the end of the frame, the boys battled hard to keep it a one-goal game until midway through the third. More time in the offensive zone, stronger team play, and another stellar performance in net from Zeke Gibson provided plenty of positive takeaways. While the team continues working on closing out the final frame, the group’s chemistry, hard competition, and step-by-step progress prove that the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story.
Rounding out the stretch, the Patterson Auto U16 AAA Quinte Red Devils made the trip to Aurora and the beautiful campus of St. Andrew’s College to face the OMHA East top-ranked team, the York Simcoe Express. QRD played a hard, disciplined defensive game against a very talented YSE squad, staying connected, working for each other, and battling right to the final whistle in a 7-0 final.
Despite the score, growth remains clearly evident as hard work, dedication, and commitment stay at the core of every single shift. All in all it was a great weekend of hockey and it was encouraging to witness the sportsmanship and class shown by our opponents who were all very gracious winners.
As the U16 Quinte Red Devils look ahead, their relentless work ethic and dedication ensure they will keep building, keep working, and keep moving forward. Roll Devils!

U18 – Red Devils Earn Point in Overtime Battle with York-Simcoe
The Peter Smith GM U18 Red Devils had a lone road contest this week, travelling to St. Andrew’s College to take on the York-Simcoe Express on Sunday night. A physical, closely contested affair saw Cameron Shaw open the scoring early in the second period, neatly tucking a puck under the keeper to put QRD up 1-0, with Derien Smith and Jonas McCoy picking up assists. York-Simcoe struck twice before Ewan Dahle notched a power-play marker to even the score before the end of the period, with Lawson Minifie and Trent Clow adding helpers. The teams traded goals in the third as Dahle added his second of the game, assisted by Minifie, to force overtime. Unfortunately, the Express potted the winner in the extra frame, holding QRD to a single point.
