A recent fundraiser has brought in $72,840 for Ed’s House Hospice Care Centre.
The Hike, Bike and Bark for Hospice event was held by Community Care Northumberland on September 27 at Victoria Park in Cobourg. A total of 200 people and 50 of their dogs participated, walking and riding to raise money for the hospice centre.
The funds are going towards providing end of life care for residents of Ed’s House, which is provided to residents free of charge.
The top individual fundraiser was Mary Doig, who raised $3,270, while the top fundraising team was HG for Hospice who raised a total of $6,200. The top fundraisers are being recognized with a plaque at Ed’s House.
