Northumberland OPP have taken two high-speed drivers off the road after excessive speeding stops led to impaired-driving charges.
Officers clocked one motorist doing 141 kilometres per hour on County Road 22 in Alnwick Haldimand Township, and caught another travelling at 161 on Highway 401.
As a result, 39-year-old Alim Baytekin of Warkworth and 32-year-old Christopher Watson of Cobourg are facing stunt- and impaired-driving charges.
Police say both men immediately received automatic 90-day licence suspensions and had their vehicles impounded for seven days.
