The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a residential break and enter that occurred in the Ambrosia Terrace area of Quinte West and is asking residents to review any available security camera footage.
On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, shortly after 8:30 p.m., homeowners returned to their residence on Ambrosia Terrace after being away and discovered their home had been broken into.
The suspects rummaged through the home and stole a quantity of valuable personal property. The total value of the loss is currently estimated to exceed $10,000.
Investigators believe the break and enter occurred sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on October 6, 2026.
As part of the investigation, police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a dark-coloured SUV that may have been in the area during that time.
Residents and businesses in the following areas are asked to review any available security, doorbell, or surveillance camera footage recorded between 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on October 6, 2026:
• Orchard Lane
• Autumn Grove
• Ambrosia Terrace
Please contact police if your footage captures a dark-coloured SUV or any suspicious activity during that time.
The OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit attended and processed the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
